Appeals and Complaints

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence Applications and Data Science (JAIADS) ensures that authors have a fair and transparent mechanism to appeal editorial decisions or submit operational complaints regarding the publication process.

Appeals Against Rejection

Authors who strongly believe that their manuscript was rejected due to a misunderstanding of the scientific content, a factual error by a reviewer, or a procedural flaw in the peer review process, have the right to submit a formal appeal.

How to Appeal:

• Appeals must be submitted in writing to the Editor-in-Chief via email at: [email protected].
• The appeal must be submitted within 30 days of receiving the rejection notification.
• The email must include a detailed, evidence-based justification for the appeal. Authors should systematically address the specific reviewer comments or editorial decisions they are contesting.
• Simply disagreeing with a reviewer's opinion on the novelty of the work is generally not sufficient grounds for an appeal.

The Appeal Process:

The Editor-in-Chief will evaluate the appeal based on its scientific merit. In some cases, the Editor-in-Chief may consult an independent editorial board member or assign a new, independent reviewer to re-evaluate the manuscript. The decision made following the appeal review is final and binding.

Operational Complaints

If authors, reviewers, or readers have complaints regarding the operational workflows of the journal - such as excessive delays in the review process, unresponsiveness from the editorial office, or technical failures on the website - they should contact the editorial team directly.

Operational complaints will be reviewed promptly by the managing editorial staff, and feedback will be utilized to improve internal processes and the Editorial Manager platform integration.
