Article Processing Charges (APC)

To maintain a fully Open Access publishing model, the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Applications and Data Science (JAIADS) does not rely on subscription fees or pay-per-view access charges. Instead, to cover the comprehensive costs of the publication process, JAIADS requires the payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC) for manuscripts that have successfully passed peer review and are formally accepted for publication.

 

There are absolutely no charges for submitting a manuscript. Fees are only incurred upon the formal acceptance of an article.

 

APC Structure

 

To support a diverse range of authors and account for different economic contexts, JAIADS applies the following APC rates:

  • For Researchers Affiliated with Institutions Inside Iraq: 150,000 IQD per accepted article.
  • For International Researchers (Worldwide): $100 USD per accepted article.

 

The APC applies universally, regardless of the length of the manuscript, the number of color figures, or the presence of supplementary data files.

 

What the APC Covers

The Article Processing Charge is essential to sustaining the high-quality editorial and technical infrastructure of the journal. The fee directly covers the costs associated with:

  • Editorial Workflow Management: Operating and maintaining the Editorial Manager submission and peer-review platform.
  • Quality Assurance: Plagiarism screening, ethical oversight, and rigorous administrative checks.
  • Professional Production: High-quality typesetting, formatting, and XML/PDF generation of the final published article.
  • Digital Hosting and Archiving: Permanent online hosting, assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) via Crossref, and long-term digital preservation.
  • Global Dissemination: Ensuring immediate, open-access availability worldwide under the Creative Commons license.

 

Payment Procedures

Detailed instructions regarding payment methods (such as bank transfer or secure online payment portals) will be provided to the corresponding author immediately following the formal notification of manuscript acceptance. The article will proceed to the final production and typesetting stages only after the APC has been successfully received.
